Eastern Oval

Being the premier cricket venue for local cricket in the Ballarat region, similarly to City Oval, this venue has high historic value with the heritage grandstands and is situated in close proximity to Ballarat's town centre. The resurfacing brief for this project included vegetation removal, grade, 30mm sand capping correction layer and full cricket wicket reconstruction.  

Design input from Pitchcraft throughout this construction included amending the sharp gradients of the sporting field towards a gentle and consistent design, in which seamlessly fits to existing conditions. The newly reconstructed wicket and outfield all turfed with Santa Ana will deem this surface one of Ballarat's finest. 

Eastern Oval is home to East Point Football Club, who are looking forward to unveiling their new surface early this football season.
